Preservation Tips
- Do not store your gown in plastic. Use either a fabric garment bag or drape a white cotton sheet around the gown.
- Do not hang your gown for long periods of time. This strains and pulls the sewing at the seams.
- Bring the gown in for preservation as soon as possible to avoid stains from setting (the longer the stains remain, the harder they are to remove).
- Do not try to clean any stains off yourself following the occasion.
- If your gown got wet, make sure it is air-dried completely. Dampness on any part of the gown can create mold and mildew on the fabric.
- We can preserve the veil and gloves with the gown provided they do not contain other materials such as metals or plastics which could interfere with the preservation of the gown.
